TRANSFORMING THE FOOTPATHS INTO A TEMPORARY PUBLIC ART GALLERY

The Yarram Chalk Art Festival is the first annual event to transform the main road of Yarram into a colourful gallery. Over the course of Saturday and Sunday, more than a dozen artists will captivate audiences as they take to the footpaths armed with vivid pastel chalks and spend hours drawing on their hands and knees.

Alberton Cemetery Walking Tour

Take a walk back in time and discover some of Gippsland’s oldest residents, dating back to the 1820s. Learn about the district’s pioneers buried at Alberton Cemetery, which is a rare example of a cemetery sited on the banks of a river. It is home to around 1,300 residents. Tours begin at 214 Yarram-Port Road, Alberton, Victoria (offstreet parking available). The cost is $10 per person, or $30 for a family of four (2 Adults / 2 Children under 16). Tours commence at 5:30pm sharp and lasts approximately one hour. Family Fun and Registration Day - WFNC

The Woodside Football Netball Club is hosting a Family Fun and Registration Day on Sunday, March 15th from 9am-4pm at the Woodside Recreation Reserve. Junior football and netball clinics for children ages 7-14 will run from 10am. There will be practice matches, raffles, free kids’ activities, and the canteen and bar open, all for a gold coin donation entry. Show N’ Shine will run from 10am-2pm, with a presentation of awards at 1:30pm (free to enter, but registration is required.) Come along to the Mary MacKillop Hall at St. Mary’s Primary School on Friday the 13th of March for Yarram Early Learning Centre’s trivia night. It promises to be a fun evening of trivia, games & friendly competition. It costs $10 per ticket and there will be tables of 8-10 people. The bar opens at 7pm for a 7:30pm start. This is the first, of hopefully many, meetings of Women in Dairy in Yarram. This is a chance for women in the industry to get together and collaborate. At this session we will be discussing ways to assist in planning your office procedures to be efficient and effective. The group will convene at the Yarram Country Club from 10:30am until 2pm on Thursday, March 12th. Lunch will be provided. Kids are welcome - please bring some toys for them to play with! The Port Albert Yacht Club is hosting a trivia night on Saturday, March 7, beginning at 7pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and children are free. BYO nibbles; drinks are available at bar prices. Junior Fishing Competition

The Manns Beach Improvement Committee is hosting the annual Junior Fishing Competition on Saturday, March 7. Registration is open at the Manns Beach Community Hall Foreshore on Friday, March 6 from 4:30pm-7pm and on Saturday, March 7 from 7am-4pm. The contest runs on Saturday only during daylight hours; inlet fishing only. Weigh in is between 4pm and 4:30pm at the Manns Beach Community Hall. The cost is $1 per child and $2 per adult, and the presentations will be made at 5:30pm on Saturday. Fish n’ Chips (free for kids and gold coin donations for adults) will round out the day.

The Welshpool and District Horticultural Society is proud to present The Friendly Show, their 59th autumn show. The show runs from 1:30-5pm on Friday, March 6 and 10am-4pm on Saturday, March 7. Yarram Early Learning Parks Week Event

Join the Yarram Early Learning Centre’s FREE Parks Week celebrations by embracing the theme 'super hero'. There will be a special appearance by Batman & Wonder Woman and children are encouraged to come dressed up as their favourite super hero. This year we will celebrate our community with Welcome to Country by the participants of Wulgunggo Ngalu. Yarram Early Learning Centre staff will help Wellington Shire Council's Open Space Officer with activities, including veggie planting in paper pots, hut building, face painting and more. Children and families can enjoy a sausage sizzle for lunch with fruit provided.

All new and past players are welcome to attend the Yarram Football Netball Club season opener at the Yarram Recreation Reserve. Come and meet the coaches, leaders and other members of the club and enjoy activities, including Dino Races and a BBQ lunch. Wulgunggo Ngalu Learning Place Presents "Australian Dream"

Wulgunggo Ngalu Learning Place will be hosting a pop up cinema, partnered with local volunteers, to help with the bushfire relief efforts. Come and enjoy Adam Goodes’ incredible documentary on Saturday, February 22 and support the local community. The event is free, but all funds raised through the BBQ and refreshments will go to Need For Feed. Bring your own deck chair or picnic blanket and torch. On Saturday the 15th of February the seafood fest will kick off with a 7pm start at the Arthur Sutherland Recreation Reserve in Welshpool. Tables are of 8-10, or we can add you to a table.
