Gippsland Regional Maritime Museum

The Gippsland Regional Maritime Museum, located in the historic Bank Of Victoria building (1862), provides an excellent opportunity to delve into the colourful past of Port Albert and Gippsland's rich maritime history. The museum features displays of shipwrecks from the Gippsland coastline as well as the early days of Gippsland Gold discovery. The museum has maritime artifacts and boat building tools, a collection of shells and maritime navigation equipment from the 18th century to the modern day, and an extensive archival collection to cater for family and other research.
